Where it began

Halloween, Pokémon — children know hundreds of characters by heart.

So why not create cards that teach and promote the lives of the saints of the Catholic Church?

Not as icons no one could reach — as the superheroes they really were.

The craft

How we paint the saints

Like old-master canvases. The pictures are made with the help of AI, but none is a first result — we reject more than we keep.

  1. 01One light

    From above, from the left, warm — on every card. The halo is a gold disc, not a lamp.

  2. 02The saint looks at the child

    Not aside, not up to heaven. Straight in the eye.

  3. 03The attribute in hand

    You will know Peter's keys even in miniature.

  4. 04No instruments of death

    Kolbe without the stripes, Abraham without the knife. Martyrdom is told, not shown.

  5. 05The moment before

    Mary has not yet said "fiat" — she looks at us, as if to say: yes, for God and for you.

Each of the 40 cards has its own source note: how we know its Host, Epoch and Virtues, and what we cannot know. Verses are checked against the text. Legend is called tradition, not history — and that is how we tell it to children.
